DW just bought a thousand dollar teak patio table, made in Indonesia. Wants a clear finish that will preserve the natural grain yet protect against food stains, such as grape juice. This table will be on a screen porch, open air but protected from rain, for the warm months of the year. Then it will be moved inside while we head to Florida.
I suggest tung oil. Anything better?

forget the table - get that credit card back and cut it up first chance you get!

If this is unfinished teak then probably your best bet is to treat it like a boat.
Remember, the sun will do a number on it regardless.
TB,
I agree with your choice. I would advise against linseed oil, though, since it wears well, but gets grimy and also darkens. Give it several coats. Look up furniture finishing in Fine Woodworking and I'm sure you'll find your solution there.
