best way to remove grease/dirt from cabs
So, I am trying to get my house ready for sale (pending divorce is going to consume all of the assets) and, I need to take care of cleaning a bunch of cabinets (beech with a honey finish) without marring the finish, any thoughts on a good degreaser cleaner that wont ruin the cabs?

What's the clear coat?
Varsol is a good degreaser for most finishes, lots of elbow grease.
Try GooGone. Try it first in an area that you cant readily see. This way if it takes the stain away no harm done.
GooGone is pretty serious stuff.
Murphy's oil soap or plain old turpentine

Go to an automotive paint supply and get solvent wipe. Try it on an inside surface first. I was going to redo all my kitchen cabinets and used this stuff to degrease the surface. Took the grease and dirt, didn't touch the original finish. Did such a good job all I did was spray on a couple top coats of Deft ... They look great.
I would try Dawn, dish soap, in lukewarm water...see if that does the trick, before using any more aggressive cleaners.
It might suprise you how well it works.
Krud Kutter. Used it on a rental house we bought, The grease was flowing like a river.
Try greased lightning. It's commonly found at home stores.
