To all. I need to replace bi fold doors in a 96″ opening (80″ height). The old doors were bi folds with two 24″ doors in each set. Neither HD or Lowes carries builder’s grade bi folds larger than a 60″ width. I know I can order custom doors but was hoping for something less expensive. Any help is appreciates
Thanks

Buy 4 separate 24'' doors and the Johnson 1700 bifold hardware . Modify the doors in HT and Width for your opening.
I didn't look but if the hardware for an 8' opening is not available, buy 2-4ft bifold hardware.
or buy two 4' bifold kits with the doors and the hardware, discard the cheap floor mount hdwr and buy the 2-4' Johnson 1700. This way the doors will be hinged already, probably sized for the opening and would only need (maybe) cut down a bit for the new hardware.

Yep, what Calvin said. We have done this a number of times with good success on unusually big openings. DanT
Where are you located? If you're near New JErsey I can tell you several places that can whip that door combo up in no time flat.
unfortunately I am in Maryland. Thanks
