Hello Dave, I read your description on removing 2 chimneys. I gathered from your removal technique you don’t think the technique mentioned in “Great Moments” is such a good one.  I’m not sure the net gain from removing my small but 3 story chimney would be worth the effort. I have zero openings in my attic, the lower flat is occupied by another person and my yard is quite a distance from where the chimney is found on the roof. Throwing bricks down off the roof along a 3 foot property set back would be insane!  Anyway, I appreciate the feedback.  Sig
