How do you set up a wood basement wall or foam/concrete basement for brick veneer? On wood do you add a second wall or nail on a supported ledger? On foam walls do you pour a second wall or do you just not use brick with the above systems? Perhaps the mortarless brik system would work with the wood basements?
Thanks, Chris

Chris,
In my own mind, I can not make the leap from wood foundations to brick veneer. I suppose you could lag on some angle iron ledgers and brick up. Perhaps this is an appropriate application for the "motarless bricks" discussed in another current thread. I saw some at a home show recently. As for foam formed basement walls each propritary system has its own approach to forming brick ledges. Some use a special shaped foam block, others cut away and form up. If you are considering brick veneer in conjunction with a foam block or foam sheet formed foundation you need to discuss this with the vendors before you make a selection. Depending on the method they use it may or may not be something you can tackle yourself. Good luck.
