Butt Seam – Drywall Fastening

    What is the preferred fastener spacing on a drywall butted seam ? (assume horizontal layout with the butt seam falling on the lengthwise center of the stud) If there is a difference for nails versus screws, please indicate.

      *Go 8" and use screws for everything but cornerbead.
