The two walls adjacent to this door are completely rotten, due to what I’m guessing is a flashing error by the original builders. I’m going to rebuild them, and I’m pretty sure I can get the ‘cap’ tiles off the walls intact… but if not I need to know if there’s anything like them available now. House was built in ’86. Anyone seen these or know a possible source? HO reports that the color is no longer available but he thinks the shape is.

They could be westile outa CO take one out and look at the back, usually they have some kinda marks on them. What area is the job in? Due to the nature of concrete tile (weight) its not usually shipped more than eight hundred miles or so.

If it's available, these guys can get it for you. Good luck.

Job is in Western Washington. Lotsa building material here comes from Canada.

Is it me, or the picture--but isn't the top course tile on the right higher than the roof shingles?
Have t owonder why they did not just carry a run of shingles down the stub wall (and I know where wondering has gotten me).
Yeah, there's a goofy intersection there. Barely visible in one or both photos is a sheet metal cap of some kind, you can see the front of it under the cap tiles. They probably thought they had that piece in there far enough, but I guess not. Anyway, the autopsy will tell.

Haha, what a good turn of phrase!
Tho- most autopsies are in cleaner circumstances than the building demo I've done . . . Occupational hazard of my occupation not being around (sorry Bubba)
