Replacing some rotted siding, and its a hack job in my mind, but I need a bit of help. The siding appears to be installed normal side in. There is a milled v in the middle of the board and at each side. The board is 9 inches wide. Not tongue and groove, but a lap.

I'd call it Double Vee shiplap for want of a better term.

It sounds like a type of channel rustic.
But there is some confustion about which one.

The picture shows it as being WP-116

But this one shows that WP-116 is a T&G pattern.
And channel rustic is shown without the V-grove.

That WP-116 is it, thank you .
And note that those grooves are on the back side.

It should be noted that wood siding may have "relief" notches on the back to help control warping.
