I am planning to put 2-2″ layers of foil faced TUF-R, 2″ of air space & 5/8 fir ply with 4″
sleepers 16″OC. Problem with existing uninsulated
roof is heat & sun in summer makes living space below un-livable. Sure would appreciate any comments.

I forgot to mention that the TUF-R, air vent space
plywood and asphalt roofong will be plced over the existing roof decking. Also starting with a
layer of 6 mil poly on the existing deck as a vapor barrier.
