Won’t work unless you can get the temp past 40 for several hours – that’s the lower limit for most caulks.
One thing you might want to experiment with – rope caulk. Clean out the old caulk, and warm the rop caulk up so you can work it in. I’m not sure if it would stick, but it might be worth a try.

If you could live with black, this OSI/Polyseamseal polyurethane roof and flashing sealant is claimed to be good to 20 degrees. I can attest to its durability.

Just ran into some stuff that would work for you: a 100% silicone caulk. The tube I saw was a Red Devil brand and it says the application temp is from 10-100 degrees F.

Franklin International Premium Exterior Sealant is good to 32 degress. Many different colors. Check their website. I've used it...good product.
Call you're local refrigeration repair guy, who services it when it breaks down?
They could probably tell you the ideal caulk from experience.
The Urethane caulk I use on sundecks works great below freezing, since it cures with moisture it will take a while to cure in a freezer, but it will cure, and lasts forever. The one problem is you have to warm the tubes prior to use, other than that...it sticks to anything thats not wet, works very well on bare or painted wood. Brand name i think is Tremco.
I know this is an old thread, but this problem came up recently.
Found this sealant good to -20 F.
