I am having a hard time achieving a nice uniform broom finish on my concrete. I use a 3500lb. mix with fiber. I know it is probably a timing issue or the amount of trileing done. If anyone has any helpful hints, it would be greatly appreciated.

Use a 3" slump. If you want it easier to work use a water reducer down to a 6" slump.
Scree it. Fresno it. Wait just for the water to leave the surface.
Use a wet broom. Keep the mud knocked off the broom.
The firmer the 'crete, the harder you'll have to work the broom.
If you wait too long, waiting for the water to leave or ???, you may have to sprinkle the surface and work it a bit to soften it up.
