Anybody ever use Corian for a window sill?
Got an 8′ window over a kitchen counter. Counter and backsplash will be Corian and the sill needs to match. Any problems with sunlight on that material? Thanks.

Plastic is plastic......no problems at all. I did one for a customer in direct light two years ago. Seems fine today

You don’t complete your inner work before you do your outer work. Nor do you say, "Well, the hell with the inner work: I’ll go do the outer work because it’s so important and pressing." That’s not conscious either. The conscious thing is the simultaneous doing of both. "Ram Dass"

By sill do you mean inside, outside, or both? The word nitpick as I understand it is that the outside is the sill and inside it's called the seat. Ordinary window glass filters out ultraviolet light, so plastics that don't contain UV blockers can be used inside but not out. Not sure how Corian is for UV.

I think you're more likely to see "stool" than "seat" for the inside portion of the "sill" (which occurs outside).
Corian is 100% UV stable. We sell it for sills and seats all of the time. Corian can be used inside and out.

Here's one to match. Seems to have held up.
