I’m interested to learn what’s the standard rate for installing mosaic, hexagonal, one-inch tiles on the floor in a bathroom. The walls will have tile wainscotting and tile base (meaning, there’s no hiding the cuts under the shoe or the base. Seeing that Home Depot tile installation is 11.75/per sq. ft. for 12 x 12 on the diagonal, what’s the going rate for the small tiles, especially when you’ve got to fill in every other end piece near the wall? Or is there a tric to doing that as well?
What’s the going rate in everyone’s area for 12 x 12 on the diagonal too.
BTW, the above cost is for durrock/subtrate too, but not for content manipulation or baseboard/trim.

What is included in the $11.75?
Some tile manufacturers offer 1/2 hex tiles so you can get a straight edge without cutting.

We have done these and charge around 15 a SF. We live in a moderate priced area so keep that in mind. We use a grout/adhesive on these because if there is a color differencial it is hard to have 1" tile clean in all grout areas. DanT
