Cracking Drywall Corners by Nailing Trim
When I nail baseboard near inside corners the hammering and the pressure crack the drywall seam in the corner up a few inches above the baseboard. What is the way to install baseboard without cracking the drywall?

Don't nail so close to the corner. Are you air nailing or hand nailing? Maybe the repeated smacking of the hammer is causing the problem.
I'm sorry, I thought you wanted it done the right way.
I'm an amateur, so I'm hand nailing. In this case I had to nail in the corner because I'm renovating an old church bathroom, and the next nearest stud is 24 inches away, and there is no sill plate along the bottom. Perhaps a dab of adhesive would be a good alternative.
I wonder what people did before air nailers?
Try Loctite PowerGrab adhesive.
Before air nailers they were nailing trim onto plaster walls, which don't crack nearly as much. If you do any amount of trim work at all you should get a nail gun. It will improve your work quite a bit, and there are so many out there now that the prices are quite reasonable. I know several guys with off-brand guns that work great.
I wish I could say I had the same experience. There was a newly constructed home here in Maine with plaster walls. My brother and I ran a lot of the interior trim. I was using a paslode cordless, and one corner crack rippled up about six inches off of the top of the baseboard. The only time I have ever cracked regular drywall seams was when I installed just a bit too snug.

If you're coping inside corners and the trim's just a shad too long, just cut a tad off the end with a sharp utility knife, especially if it's paint grade.
I agree with what Basswood said--use Power Grab adhesive (and nails here and there, but not near corners).
If a nailer isn't in the cards, just predrill your holes near the corners to reduce the force needed to penetrate the trim.
Use a little glue
Nail on an angle
Thanks, everyone.
Pre drill, glue and if the corner cracks take some gyproc mud or similar product and run it up the corner with your finger. It will blend in, hardly ever see it.
