Need some advice from someone way more experienced than I.
Have a gable rake and fascia that needs crown. Having done only horizontal crown
installs, the cutting and install would hard enough due to different planes for me.
I have procured a smaller size for the fascia, which I understand will require
a slightly different spring angle. How is the measurement done, oh, did I not
mentioned that the bottom of cove/ogee will need to be clipped because of the
entablature; thus not being able to use the short side of the miter of the rake piece?
Build a mock-up?
Test pieces?
Thanks, Ed

What's the roof pitch, crown profiles width, and spring angle?

You have to look at the angle of the crown with respect to the plane you are working from, not the "spring angle" measured from plumb. This way, the geometry and math is recast in a form equivalent to that for a Hip-Valley roof.
