I love the stuff. I've only used it a couple of times but it goes up fast, costs much less in labor and materials and lasts as well as concrete because it is concrete.
It needs to be installed correctly, especially in a freeze-thaw environment but any mason contractor should be able to do it right.
*And if you are asking about that fake river rock stuff, another nice feature is that you can tell it's fake from about a half mile away. Joe H
*I'm not sure what the "river rock" is but there are several cultures stone patterns that repeat and these don't look like the real thing. As for the random pattern cultured stone™, I think many of those are right on the money.
