I’m building a 12×12 deck with a 5 foot radius in one corner.
Originally it was going to be mahogany, but tables have turned and we’re going to go composite. I had been planning on running the steps for half of the curve. Had it been wood I would simply cut the treads from wider stock, but this is no longer the case. I’ve been looking at the different products — my supplier will get just about whatever I ask for.
I am wondering if anyone knows the radius that some of the different composite decking materials can handle. It seems trex is pretty flexible, but I’m not sure if it could handle the 5 foot radius of my stair. I am also looking into Timbertek, possibly WeatherBest (however they claim to be stiffer).
Thanks.
