I just put down a new, clear fir 1 x 4 T & G deck on the porch of our Victorian house. I am not sure if I am going to paint it or put a clear finish on it. I would put a linseed oil based finish on it, but now it’s winter and it’s only getting up to 45 degrees in the days and 30 degrees at night. It might just stay sticky and never dry! I may have to wait till the weather warms up a bit. But then it will get wet and dry and that may ruin the wood. Its a very tight fit now. (No gaps) I put it down with nails and construction adhesive so I don’t think it will swell and warp. I put a coat of primer/sealer on the bottom side of each beard before I nailed them down.
How can I finish this deck? We get some snow but not much. The climate is generally dry. Very little humidity.

You got tarps right? Build a heat dome and get er done. The longer it sits now the more work you'll have this spring.
Dirt will be your biggest problem to clean away. Build a tent around it and get at least some sealer on it. Even if you have to sand some in the spring it will be worth it.
