I have a 12′ I 20′ deck to fix whose handrail is falling over. The handrail is 1×6, balusters spaced about 4″, and the railing height is at 40″. How do I stiffen up the handrail? The deck was framed out of 2×8 stock with only a single header joist. Any insight would help.
