It has been suggested that we separate our hot water heater from the heating system so that we can shut down overall system during the months we don’t need. We are still trying to decide whether to go with propane or oil heat and I’m not really sure how it would work to have hot water heater as a individual unit. Can anyone fill me in as to exactly what we’re talking about here?
