Was walking through the warehouse of a local home center and noticed a huge stack of insulated, metal door “cut-outs.” When making patio doors, they start with a solid metal slab, and then cut out the center. What’s left is a 2″ foam, metal-faced slab. This ought to be a super tough insulation panel that can be used….. well, somewhere. And it ought to be cheap.
