I’m new to this forum, this is my first post.

I recently purchased a home and discovered that in the garage (exposed studs) one side has plywood sheathing and the other side has what looks like drywall sheathing.

After asking around someone told me in the 1970’s some homes had gypsum exterior sheathing, is this going to be a problem? it has new vinyl siding and roof less than 1 year old.
