We recently installed a tile floor with the electric radient floor heating mats. I am unhappy with the grout color and would like to darken it. Can I use a stain type product(for wood or concrete). We do not have the option of removing the grout because of the danger of damaging the underlying wiring.

There are grout stains available from a professional tile supplier. They will match any standard grout color. Usually you would clean the grout thoroughly with something like TSP beforehand. I wouldn't use a wood stain at all.
*Customs makes grout stains in all their colors. I had a batch of grout that didn't cure to the proper color, and Customs supplied me with enough stain to do the whole floor. Grout stain works like sealer, so there is an argument to be made for just staining rather than sealing.

Ditto Polyblend grouts, avilable in lots of colors and stains to match. Be careful when you clean dark colored grouts, though. Some common cleaners can lighten them up very badly.

Of course if you want to take out the old grout without cutting up wires beneath, you could always use vinegar....
