I need help with mixing some of the styles we’ve collected over the years. We have a whole lot of country primitive stuff, some mission/arts and crafts pieces and now we’ve added some mid-century modernish pieces to the mix. The colors all work together but it needs something… Wall art? I should mention that we live in a 1500sf dutch colonial and have a 4yr old and 2 dogs so its never going to look like a showcase. Anybody have any ideas?

Wall art would be perfect. It can act as style or color transitions and is moveable if you rearrange things. You might find a place for a decorative mirror too or mirrored-back, glass front shelves to house pottery or whatever. I love the eclectic look and feel and it's conducive to making "areas" with different atmospheres.
What about a wall fountain or baskets of flowers? Don't forget spot and mood lighting or ceiling hangings. In my circle of friends most of us at one time or another hung an incomplete macrame wall hanging project ;) It sounds like a really great home. Rugs can be iffy with kids and dogs unless tacked down but they can provide a good focal point for a seating area or a pathway.
If it works functionally, giving different rooms their different feels might also be an option, but you probably will want the pieces to be where they will be best used. If it's a piece out of water, you can either emphasize it or deemphasize it. I'm thinking of a modern bookcase in a quaint kitchen or vice versa. Add some paint or marks to age or distress the modern, add some old poster art or cooking tools to emphasize the antique, etc.
One other thing you can use to blend areas is the view from windows and the plants in that view, plus the window covering options are limitless. You could commission someone to make an optical illusion window/view on a wall, too. My best advice is to locate the heavy furniture where it will stay! Have fun!
