Help, I made a mistake! We are building a house and we have a wet bar with a raised counter that extends out from the wall. When the carpenter was installing it , he asked if I wanted to curve the outer edge of the counter that extends into the room. He said it is what they usually do. So I said yes. He rounded off the corner. Well now I am being told that if I am using a wood bullnose around the edge of the raised bar instead of the laminate, I will need it squared because it won’t bend. So our builder is recommending we cut it at an angle but I think it will look like a mistake, which, of course, it was. Any ideas of what I can do?

Tell him to get creative. I'm sure your cabinet guy can make some trim to fit. Don't let him off so easy.

Make a sectional piece to fit and cut the bullnose...

A sectional piece? You mean cut a separate piece of molding for the corner that fits between the straight aways. Or do you mean to make a template of the corner piece that was cut off (which I did yesterday) and have the carpenter cut a piece this shape and attach it to the corner. I've attached a picture of the bar penisula.
I don't know much more than the builder :)
P.S. Since this forum is such a great wealth of expertise, I have another question. After our bar was built we realized it was looking too much like a kitchen penisula rather than a bar and what was missing was the upper counter returning back towards inside of the bar. Any idea how we can retro fit this after we move in since it is too late now. We're in a sprint to get the house done so it isn't more than four months over schedule :( ....the bar has been stained and the tile sub has started.

cut a piece to shape or several pieces to conform...
without seeing it...
a built up series of mouldings or a one piece custom cut...

You made no mistake: your builder is just no woodworker. It can be done insections, as previously noted, or built up from thinner strips bent around your shape and glued up in place. A lot of people would jump at the chance to do a piece of work like that.

There are many solutions to your problem. The first thing you need to do is find someone else with more of a woodworking background.
You can go to a local woodworking shop and have the trim custom made. most guys love little pet projects like that
You can buy off the shelf bar counter mouldings and many of them offer a radiused corner moulding. try Dykes lumber http://www.dykeslumber.com
You can buy flex mouldings that will conform to your radius. they are a little rubbery but a good finish guy can stain them to match anything
