I'd be looking for a middle schooler in the neighborhood, let them hack it for you.
If it gets really bad I'll give you the name of a guy who can fix it from New Jersey for you.
if you were logged in as administrator, there's no help.
most likely you were logged in as a user, which means you can go into as administrator and change the user password.
Can you get into DOS
I did that, a while back.
I think I booted into safe mode and changed the password.

Thats the way.. The only time too really password admin is during install. Thats where you create your admin diagnostic pass. So you can boot into safe (f8) and change it there
I once downloaded a utility off the Internet. Saved it on CD or a floppy, and changed BIOS to boot from CD or floppy rather than HD. It essentially booted the computer into Linux, and then ran a utility to hack into Windows and change the password.
This was about four years ago, and I can't remember the name of it or where I found it. Make sure your antivirus software is up to date if you go looking for it - you won't find it on the up-and-up websites.
This is the first hit I found on Google. Seems to be the same concept. I have no idea how reliable the links in it are so use at your own risk!

Turn on the computer, and before it boots start hitting the F8 key. Keep hitting it continuously until it boots into 'Safe' mode. This will bypass the all the log-ins.
Now: Hit the Windows key, click SETTINGS>CONTROL PANEL>USER ACCOUNTS.
You should now be able to modify the administrator account, including passwords etc. Down-screw whatever it was you screwed-up, shutdown and restart.

Not sure if this helps but boot up in safe mode (repeated [f8]) key at first turn on and then work on it from there. Maybe find old pass that way. I'm not totally sure on this yet but I'm at the stage where I'm starting to really get pi88ed at this frigging machine, finally decided that I'll drop everything and work on it again.
Along the lines of what Luka suggested!

As many have already suggested...boot to safe mode and try logging into the default "adminstrator's" account. Unless you or the manufacturer have set a password on this account, you won't need one. From there...go to user accounts in control panel and change the password on the account you need/want access to again. Reboot and log-in. Should be good to go.
If the manufacturer has already set a password on this default admin account, you'll need to contact them to find out what that password is.
There are other ways also, but the above is the easiest to explain.
