I am going to install a new roof over the dormer on my home. The roof of the dormer is a shed roof that ends at the existing ridge.My question is how do I address the portion of the ridge where the epdm ends? Do I just run my ridge cap over it or do I need a termination bar or both? Any suggestions helpful

Can epdm be put over ice and water shield?
*ROB,What I am finding out is epdm and asphalt based products are not compatible. I believe the reasoning is that asphalt will breakdown the rubber. Also, if the epdm is full bond(i.e." glued down"), you do not want anything between the rubber and the roof deck. If the membrane is fastened properly, there should not be any place water could dam.I am by no means a roofer, these are things I am finding out from other tradesmen.
