I’m a General Contractor that built a house for a homeowner, I hired an excavator to excavate for the foundation,(he was a friend of friend) In his proposal he stated Rock removal $1500. He removed a flagstone wall worth $18,000 in materials alone. The owner of the property informed him that nothing was to leave the property. The owner is now going after me for this wall. My lawyer is saying that the judge may let this guy walk away with the wall. This is in Conn., anybody have any experince with this type of thing.
