matt,
Abatron makes a liquid epoxy and a wood dough that can be inter-mixed to any desired consistancy. Nice stuff, sands and paints well. It has as good adhesion as anything will, but beware, – any product will need to get a good grip to avoid popping with wood movement. A thin skim onto smooth or dirty surfaces won’t last long.

Help! I need to smooth out some trim on
an old house. What should I skim with?
I'm thinking tuff-cote or some sort of
similar stuff. I'm loath to use
Synkloid or something that dries too
hard because I'm afraid it will pop.
Anybody have actualy experience doing
this? What were your result? Thanks in
advan
