I have a 9 year old piece of
moen pull out kitchen faucet. Replaced the pull out less than two years ago. Thing keeps pluging up inside, I supose of our hard water. Do have a water softner. Have soaked in vinegar for hours, helps some for a while. Never did like it.
What is the best brand to buy. I know that the moen has some interal reducers.

The best way for any faucet to last is to have good water supply to it.
A couple of cartridge filters under the sink can do wonders to increase longevity.
Moen is generally a pretty good brand, but that's because they've refined the design for aeons. Something new like a pull-out is going to have some glitches, I suppose.
We have a pull-out that I'm pretty sure is a Moen. Been working fine for about 2 years, and the OL likes it. Only the hot water at the sink is softened.
I think our faucet is this one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000FHBFZ2/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_sr_1?pf_rd_p=486539851&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B000YLOH5E&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=1M80C7QAA4BABS1B62RJ
Moen, like Delta, is easy to repair, because all you do is spend 15-30 minutes replacing parts, either cartridges or gaskets and balls. Problem is that this happens very often. If you have minerals, pretty soon you need to be pretty strong to pull out the Moen valve. Most newer systems employ ceramic valves, which tend to do better in mineral environments.
