fine tuning radiant floor heating
It’s me, the breaktime leach. First, thanks for all the help to all the regulars, Piffin, bill hartman, and many others. Here is todays problem: I finally got my staple up radiant system running ok. and I am wondering how to work that mixing valve( I have a boiler running baseboard heat too). It is a Taco valve green, if that helps, and it spins forever. when the system is really pumping the return thermometer reads about 120. and the feed reads 150 . I am trying to get it down to 140. How do I fine tune it?

The green handle is just a cover, the adjustment is underneath. Pry it off then turn it upside down and use it to turn the adjusting nut that is now exposed. Some older ones may use an allen key to adjust instead.
