Does anyone have experience with this New Orleans firm? I am being recommended their product by a flooring contractor. Quartersawn white oak strip, 2-1/4″ width, unfinished, 1/2″ thick tongue and grooved, not 3/4″ as is typical. The claim is the tongue / groove is offset toward the bottom face and that the product has as much resand life as a 3/4″ floor. This contractor says (and it is stated at their website) that lengths are quite a bit longer than the randoms seen with regular flooring, that the stock is generally straighter, milled with precision, and that the reduced thickness makes it easier to work and get dead tight joints.
