I am a building contractor in Maine and I am building a two story sunroom on a colonial house. I am intending on building a flat roof on the addition but the homeowner wants some pitch to the roof. I am using a commercial grade rubber roof. There is only going to be a 13′ span from the roof of the house to the eaves. I am also planning on putting a false railing on the roof. If I put too steep of a pitch on the roof then the railing will not look right. I want to pitch the roof only 2″-4″. Does this seem like enough. Rafters are 2×10 16″ oc with 5/8″ osb. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
