hello,just purchased flex-tec repair epoxy in the 5oz mini tube.it was the only size available.when it cures in 12 hours what is the product like.is it hard to touch,flexible,sticky or….i would not recomend this standard caulk tube size because it doesnt mix well.maybe its just my tube.did not flow out of the tube in the right proportions. jvl

It's much better in the 2-part full tube gun, without the mixing nozzle. Just squirt it out onto a plexiglass hawk (you can make one easily) and mix for 5-10 minutes with a plastic putty knife.
Looks like heavy vaseline. 12 hours later it's probably still going to be a bit soft but can be sanded and painted. Will continue to harden a bit more over time. Definitely use the primer (PrimeTrate) first.

Note that with self-mixing systems you often need to discard a fair amount at the start before the mixing tube is fully "primed". If you don't you'll get a batch of stuff that doesn't set.
dan the cost of the 5oz tube is $30.00 dont you think they would have a better application system that wouldnt play a cat and mouse game with you.
