I was at our local downtown library here in Charleston, SC and noticed that the checkout counter was VERY nicely done with what looked like a formica countertop but with some sort of “solid surface” edging. This seemed like the best of all worlds for me.
We will be building very soon and I would love solid surface but am real cheap. Wood edging is okay but with the formica closely matched to the edging, this combo almost looked like solid surface throughout.
The local Lowes rep told me that they sell the trim in 12′ strips. He didn’t have a price for me, though. Have any of you used the stuff? How’d you like it? How expensive was it?
