I need advice. I have a opening in my cinder block foundation – approximately a full stretcher – as a result of venting from a previous furnace. The sheet metal is still in the opening with chicken wire on the outside. Additionally, the opening is approximately two feet above grade with an undulating, rough sand-like texured finish to the exterior. Home is a Wisconsin home built in 1919.

Call someone who does stucco and tell them you need a quick patch done. That's something they could do one the way to their regular job, or on the way to a ball game on the weekend.
