I purchased a pair of IronClad Framer's Gloves from Duluth Trading and was very disappointed. The stitching in the cut fingers failed within a week. I just received the February Duluth Trading Company catalog. It appears that Duluth has come out with their own brand called Duluth Talon. They look to be better made with stitching around the cut finger ends that should correct for the poor results I got with the Iron Clad pair. check out http://www.DuluthTrading.com. Look for the Carpenter's-style Talon #99811, $19.99 + S&H. Next time I order from them, I may give them a try.
Ditto on the IronClads. Got the Griptecs that were on sale from Duluth last year. Combined with the tape, the grippy gimmick seems to make a difference, but the finger stitching blows out pretty quick. I'm gonna try the Talon carp. gloves, too.
Just don't tell my dad - growing up working with him if you tried to wear gloves he'd either make you take 'em off or ridicule ya 'til you did anyway. I'm addicted to them now and my wife sure appreciates that I no longer wear the Mongo callous "gloves".
Mongo, you wouldn't be my dad's brother now would ya?

That is the pair I got, too. Poor construction. I do not see them advertized much now.
Gloves?
Mine are made out of callused skin.
Took a while to make them, but they work great.
When I do stone work, I reinforce the last inch of each finger with a couple of windings of duct tape.
I started wearing fingerless gloves a couple of months ago. Except when it really cold, then I gotta have all the glove.
The ones that I wear are Wells Lamont SUG gloves. They have grippy fingers and palms, which seems to add great grip and control with a hammer in my hands an when bucking boards. Also, I notice the added padding and grip makes using the nailer much better.
The gloves are not expensive at all. $5.00 at Wal Mart. Seem to hold up very well.
