Hello, this is my first ever message on this forum.  For many years, have enjoyed looking at FHB as wishful dreaming (building my own house.)  Am now in position that that may become a reality.  The local housing market, small town upstate New York, just does not have anything that meets our needs: family of 4 with Grandma space.  I went to our local library to find an old issue of the yearly issue of houses because I remembered a house plan that I wanted to look at seriously.  Discovered to my horror that they give away old issues, only keeping one year’s on the shelf!

Before I start ordering every past issue of houses available, can anyone help me find which one I remember?  The house was built on a lake with massive concrete stone retaining walls in from of a full width porch.  My memory is that this house was also featured on someone’s TV series, but which, I don’t remember.  There was an open kitchen into a dining room and there was a gorgeous wood library/media room.  I think the living room ran the entire front width of the building.  The garage was either unattached, or just at the end of the building, away from the porch.

Hope that I’ve given enough info for someone out there to help me.  I think that I’ve found the lot, but need to have something to present to the spouse before any real cash in invested.
