Start building a double garage?
Give it to somebody as a partial payment for their service?
You can eBay them but the shipping will eat into your sold price.
Spread the word around to see if anybody wants garage door openers installed.
That's my first reply, and I would have replied sooner, my laughter has slowed me down!!! You made my day. TKS, Chuck Keller
With a little ingenuity, you could control one of them from your alarm clock to drag you out of bed in the morning.
Second message is great!!I'll get back to you as soon as I get 2x4's mounted to head board with finish screws! (No pun intended) Your friend & mine, Chuck Keller
I know a guy in town that had a special bed and mechanism built. Inside the bedroom, the head of the bed is against an outside wall. Outside that wall is his screened sleeping porch. The bed is on motorized tracks, and can move from inside to outside.
The oversized "headboard" is equal in size to the "footboard," and each closes off against weatherstripping when the bed is in the out position or the in position.
The screened porch is plexiglassed in for the winter months, but is unheated. With a flick of the switch, he moves his room-temperature bed to the "out" position on those 25-below winter nights, puts on a wool hat, and jumps in for a good night's rest.
That's interesting, Gene! DW is a Homehealth RN and, after my acquaintance with some of her long-term bed-ridden patients, I once pondered the idea of a bed set up just as you describe.....hope I never need one, but it would create a little diversion to a limiting existence.
My next door neighbor uses one to open and close a sliding gate at the end of his driveway (he did have to build a little enclosure for the powerhead to protect it from the weather.)
Great Idea!!, It's not as funny as others, but I may addopt it on my property. Many TKS for your input, also. I remian, Chuck Keller
I bet you can find a "local" classified online that gets browsed in your area and they can pick it up at your doe.
Fonzie, I will place my add tomorrow,AM!! But they can't pick it up at my doe!! She left two weeks ago !!! Chuck Keller
I'd love to have a conveyor system between my barbeque grill and the back door. There's such a small time frame between when the coals are just right and the time it takes for me to go into the house for the steaks and then get back to the grill that most of my steaks end up as trash. If I could signal DW to put the steaks on the garage door motor driven conveyor, measured to 7.6 seconds enroute, I know I'd be assured of the perfect steak.
