Thanks in advance for any advice-
Within the past week, the GFCI outlets have tripped in each of my two second floor bathrooms.
Both have tripped when flipping the switch to shut the lights off.
Oddly enough, the likelihood of the GFCI tripping seems to be increased when i slowly switch the switch off.
Not sure whats going on here. They dont seem to tripp any other time as I have had all things on, fans running etc. without any problems.
Any ideas?

Are they all on the same circuit? Probably so. Defective switch? Verify good contacts and then get a new 50 cent switch if it continues. The switch is, after all, the cheapest link.
Yep, in both baths they are on the same circuit (one circuit for each bath i should add)
Funny that it has happened in both baths though.
Just to be sure, I will pull the switches out and check the connections. If they are good, I will monitor the switches and if problems continue I will replace.
Thanks for your reply !
It's probably a problem with arcing in the "quiet" switches. They're really quite primitive switches (just sliding contacts) and will tend to arc quite a bit on disconnect.
