That's getting to be a weekly deal with Sears. And it's a good thing.
Gotta read the fine print on some of those deals.
I thought they had a real good price on the 12 volt Panasonic Impact driver, but, on further inspection I found out that Sears only gives you one battery with it - everywhere else has kit with two batteries.
Some good deals to be had, but, really gotta watch
edited to add - checked the link you posted, same deal Sears is only giving one battery where you usually get 2 - those batteries go for $100 a pop

There giving you two batteries. It says so right up front.
1/2 in. drill/driver kit with a high-capacity 3.5Ah NiMH battery and a convenient Impact Mode. High power drill/driver offers 1100 in./lbs. in impact mode, 286 in./lbs. in drive mode. 55 minute charging system. 18-stage clutch plus drill position. Extra battery pack included.
did you read the part that said - batteries required 1, batteries included 1?
I actually called them to have them clarify on the 12 volt Impact Driver - thought it must have been a typo, as every place I have ever seen this sold it came with two batteries.
Person on phone read from website to me - I told them I knew what the page said wanted confirmation that the web page was right. A day latter I got a call saying that it indeed only came with one battery.
Will find out for sure, tomorrow. That is when the Impact Driver is supposed to show up on my doorstep. When they said someone would get back to me within 48 hours with the answer to how many batteries, I asked what stock was - they said 8 - so I took a chance and ordered one.
Thanks for pointing that out. Talk about crapola/deceptive practices ............... saying in the description that "an extra battery pack is included" and then noting in the product specs that you're getting only one battery....... It is hard to understand why the "genius" who came up with this plan thought it would be a good idea. Sears has done just about everything they can over the last 10 or so years to turn their customer base against them, and this is just another example. At least they could have made it clear you only get a single battery -- and that might be okay for folks who want the tool but don't really need the extra battery (which is the only way I have ever seen the packaged priced elsewhere -- at about $300).
Let me know. Cause it's spelled out on the front page that they intend to send you two batteries.
yes it is - and it is confusing
will post when I get mine
Well the big brown truck just left my house. I opened the box, and lo and behold there are two batteries in the case with my new Panasonic EY7201 12 volt Impact Driver.
Sears needs to get their sheet together - not doing themselves any favors with the conflicting statements on the website. Also the "Product Specialist" that called me and explained that this tool only comes with one battery needs to do a little more research.
Not complaining. I am happy I decieded to take a chance.
Two 3.5 amp hour batteries and 1060 inch pounds of torque in a tiny little package less than 6.5" long and less than 4 lbs.
Well, gotta run and do a bid - then I gotta find some lags to sink.
2 count them 2 batteries!!
That's what I thought.

man what kinda under handed thing is that?????
read the paragraf says extra battery pack included and then look and the spex. say number of batt. req. 1--number included 1--doesn't sound like extra to me.
Nice--oh well buyer beware---

Heard somewhere that when the stores merge they are going to change the Craftsman name to K-raftsman!!How's that for funny?First they sell the Sears Tower and now the Craftsman name--where will it end?Martha Stewart's socket collection with floral prints?" I reject your reality and substitute my own"
