For you baseball fans especially those in the NW we heard some good news today.
Dave Niehaus, whose birthday is today, was given a fabulous present. It couldn’t happen to a nicer guy.

I like Dave a lot. Deserves the HOF. But he's lost a step
Time to go on a farewell tour.
And don't let Rick Rizz near the big chair.
I like Dave Sims. really brought it in his first year.
Thank goodness Ron Fairley is gone. He was painful to listen to. Did he wear out his arm carrying Cokes to Dave?
One can only hope. He had great knowledge and experience but to listen to him was about like listening to the 8am math professor I had at college....The unspoken word is capital. Has he been tested for HGH or roids? I doubt he could have lasted that long with out the juice!
My Oh My! ;0)
How does he do it? Especially after his heart attack and those crazy travel schedules.
He's a class guy with a real love of the game.
When he starts his broadcast, especially on a nice early spring day and I'm doing yard work, it's as though all is OK with the world. Dave's back & in charge and things will settle out. At least for a couple hours while I rest my aching back and quaff a brew.

I've never heard the guy do a game but if he's like any of the old timmers that cover games I'm sure that I'd enjoy it. Those guys know baseball, nothing better then listening to a game called by someone that knows/understands the game. I miss Jack Buck doing Cards games, a true master.

Yes, same type of guy with a very distinctive baritone voice. A "friendly" voice, if one can describe it as such.
Normally a calm, gentle demeanor until some hits the "grand salami time" :0)...The unspoken word is capital. We can invest it or we can squander it. -Mark Twain...Be kind to your children....they will choose your nursing home....aim low boys, they're ridin' shetland ponies !!
