We have a ground source heat pump (sometimes called geo-thermal). We heat and cool about 2,200 sq feet in NE Arkansas. Convetional construction on slab with blown cellulose insulation. We also have a pool with a pump that runs 12 hours a day in the summer. I also have the lights on in my shop most days and occasionally run the air compressor or drill press. For the period 23 June to 23 July our electric bill was $119. There are folks around us with similar houses paying twice as much.
