We had a hail storm in our area recently and I am seeing a lot of siding where the hail has removed oxidized paint. There seems to be nothing under the paint as the white siding turns prey. It will do this with your finger or a wet rag. It just turns prey and no amount of rubbing or cleaning seems to bring it back. Is this a complete paint failure followed by a bit of abrasion that exposes the extent of the damage?
