Can anyone tell me about this bandsaw? It’s a 1.5hp Inca with a 22 inch throat. So far, that’s all I really know. I believe it’s Swiss made but haven’t been able to locate a model number on it and I haven’t found much information on the Internet either. I’d like to know its model number, approximate age and what it might be worth. It belonged to my late father and I know he only bought quality stuff. Any ideas you guys have would be greatly appreciated!!

Inca is known for it's high quality, high price tools. They are sold in the US primarily through Garrett Wade.

That model is likely the 710. New, it's $1400 plus a $300 motor. It doesn't come with a stand but one is available for about $200.
You're right. He did buy quality.
Best,
Seth
If you're looking to sell it, it's a piece of junk. I'll give you $150.
Seth,
Thanks so much for the info!! I checked that website and they do in fact sell them. I was finding so little on the 'net that I thought that Inca was out of business. I'm amazed they're so expensive - they must be quality!! My dad boight it used about 12 years ago and he used it very little. Judging by its overall condition, I'd say it's been hardly used ever. Anyway, I have a guy that's interested in it and I want to get a fair price for it. BTW - I had attached a picture of it but I didn't see it when I checked the post. Did you see it? I'm new to this board and I needs help!!
Thanks again!
Michael
I'LL GO $151.00!
Can't seem to find the picture link either. Can someone please explain whether it's just me or what?
To post pictures here, you have to first click "Attach Files" at the bottom of this message area. Then you get a dialogue box in which you click "Browse" and navigate thru your hard disk to find the file. Select it and click "Open" in the dialogue box. Then click "Upload", and wait for it to be sent. Then click "Done", and click "Post".
The whole thing kinda reminds me of a combination lock -- 7 left, 38 right, click on "Open" ;-)

mr c. legs - for a guy who hasn't figured out how to post, you got on that one pretty nicely ...
Ok, let's see if I can get this picture thing to work here. I thought I had attached it to the original message. I mean, that was the whole point!!! Ok, here goes....
All right, make it $151.50.
Three wheel bandsaws are usually something to stay away from, but Inca makes good tools....not built for real industrial use, but for lighter duty, they're little gems.
I'll go $151.75. That's Canadian, of course. And I've got $13 billion worth of softwood available....we could call it a 'gift', and you just send me a cheque, see? Let me know.cabinetmaker/college instructor. Cape Breton, N.S

Ok, folks. I was first in and thought I had a deal here. You can all go home and wait for ME to pass away in order to nickel and dime my kids! I've got a Lamello that should fetch at least twelve bucks!
