What would you reccommend that I back up hemlock board and batten siding with? I want to sode my cabin with 1 x 8 boards and stain them with a semi-transparent stain. My cbin is currently sheathed with OSB. Do I use housewrap? 30# felt paper? Firring stips?

Housewrap or 30# as you're not dealing with a reactive wood like cedar. Furring strips? Maybe, but less of an issue overall with the kind of board you're using.
Are you going to run the Board and Batten to the windows, or trim-out around?
