HERRINGBONE INLAY IN HARDWOOD FLOORING

Building new. I, the homeowner, want to frame and lay a herringbone pattern in entryway. Roon is approx 9 x 14. Herringbone would be approx 6 x 10. Does anyone have experience doing this? A book? Should I forget it?
