I assume M stands for money, honey. or maybe magazine....don't know. I don't do the whole FHB site
The forum here is free, but most of the articles from the magazine are for paying members. I figure I already pay enough for the magazine so...here I am in the free forum for cranky old men.

Thanks. I already pay for the magazine too, so I agree, that's enough. Thought I might be able to pull up an article here and there, but not worth it for me to pay more for that privilege.
To each their own, but being able to instantly search for and print any back article has been very useful in educating our clients, carpenters and designers. Sure beats browsing the issues the old way, though that's still good if you're not searching for something specific.
Are most of the articles up, or just select ones?
I thought it was all of them but it looks like it is selective:

Its a security clearance issue. You must have double-O status to view articles designated by "M"

Greetings ob,
As a first time poster Welcome to Breaktime.
The main FineHomebuilding site has both free access to some articles and a paid membership needed for some others.
The forum you are reading on now is the FREE Breaktime forum which is just one extension of all the many wonderful avenues made available to you, the reader, by the Taunton Press executive Fathers.
Cheers
P.S. Just be wary of 'The Woodshed Tavern' which you will become curious about.
It's like a slippery creek bank that will pull you in and you'll end up floundering about like all the other heathen that have made their way there. Good Luck.

Viewing article problem
HI, I have the same question and no one answered it.
I think we as members are expecting to be able to download a pdf. file to save and print if we want to, as is the case in
"the Journal of Light Construction" Online membership page.
Why is it that we are only given a PRINT OPTION? Is the site being hacked? It's wasteful to print every article on paper when you not find that particular article helpful.
So why not give your members a PDF download option and a VIEW capability?
Why not be more green? It is a big negative for your online magazine. And I have been a fan for years.
I would like to hear from you,
Sincerely, Woodghost
