Along with the basement remodel is an existing bathroom (already there previously). It has a 4 inch cast iron pipe with a CI toilet flange set (I assume Oakum sp? and lead)on the pipe. The new floor isn’t going to be much higher but possibly as much as an inch.
I talked to my plumber (too busy to come in right now) and he says they make a flange to do this either convert the 4 to 3 and fits inside or some other type of flange built off the existing. He said one actually clamps down on the old one (which is in pretty good shape)
Can anyone be more exact or offer various alternatives (links/pictures would be great). Haven’t gone to the plumbing supply store but I’d like to know what I’m looking for before going in.
Thanks
