How to remove a mirror sticked to the wallpaper with adhesive stickers?
Hello everyone, I’m new here.
I would like to get this mirror off the wall without causing any damage to the wallpaper. The mirror is the “LOTS” one from Ikea, you can see it here. Each square of the mirror has been stuck to the wall with 4 square adhesive stickers which are placed near the corners of each square. There is maybe 2-3 millimeters of space between the wall and the mirror, as you can roughly see from the second photo.
Is there any tool, solvent or technique I should use to get this mirror off the wall smoothly?
I think this kind of wallpaper damages easily.
Thank you in advance for your suggestions!

Have you tried sawing through them with a length of picture hanger wire? (Start at the bottom.)
Do NOT try sawing through them with wire unless you want to guarantee the destruction of your wallpaper.
You could cover the mirrors with tape then tap them with a hammer to break them into small pieces. Remove the loose pieces of glass then use Goo-Gone or lighter fluid to loosen the adhesive on each sticky piece. Good luck!
Florida, why is it so sure that the wallpaper will be torn if I saw the adhesive?
Fortunately I have seen your comment before trying the wire-sawing method (haven't had the time to do it yet), so it's not too late, but I was hoping to do it with the wire as everybody else also suggested.
50 years of experience. If you weren't trying to save the wallpaper wire sawing would be ba viable method but it ALWAYs pulls the drywall off under thew adhesive. Wire sawing may save the mirror but it will tear the wall up. If you have foil wallpaper you might get lucky but if you have paper wallpaper it's going to tear.
The mirror is almost certainly attached using foam tape. The wire would saw through the foam.
Do provide support for the mirror while you are hacking on it, else it falls and takes the wall paper with it.
Good luck.
dental floss. crazy but it works.
50 years od experience. Using a wire to cut mirror adhesive always tears the drywall paper off
